Hugh’s Skin Cancer Scare

Even Wolverine is not immune to skin cancer.
45-year-old Australian actor Hugh Jackman revealed yesterday on his Instagram account that he had a suspicious mole removed from his nose.
The caption on the selfie read:
“Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a [basal] cell carcinoma,” the Wolverine star wrote. “Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!”
Most men do not use sunscreen on a daily basis yet studies show that men over 50 are than twice as likely than women to die from melanoma, reports the Skin Cancer Foundation.
Jackman joins a number of male celebs who have revealed their own brushes with skin cancer, including Bruce Jenner, Ewan McGregor, and Anderson Cooper.
A.M. drill: Brush your teeth, cleanse your face, and slap on a SPF 30 lotion or a sunblock spray if you’re acne-prone.
