Dr. Lisa Kellett

We asked the country’s top docs for what was hot in 2014 and what will be hot in 2015. Here’s The Skiny from our go-to dermatologist Dr. Lisa Kellett…
Q: What treatment or skincare product was a game-changer for you in 2014?
Dr. Lisa Kellett: Non-invasive laser and light treatments became more specific to specific skin issues with minimal downtime. For example, the ProFractional Laser Peel [an ablative laser] enabled us to treat acne scars, wrinkles, and textural irregularities. [Watch our Laser Peel video HERE]
The ResurFX M22 treatment [non-ablative] allowed us to treat a number of different superficial skin issues such as pore size and red and brown spots, as well as improving deeper collagen and elastic issues such scars and wrinkles. ResurFX starts with a removal of the dead skin cell layer followed by Intense Pulse Light, and then a resurfacing erbium laser.
Immediately following these treatments, patients were able to go right back to their regular activities.
Q: What treatment are you most excited about in 2015?
Dr. Lisa Kellett: Laser tattoo removal using the new PicoSure laser. It removes unwanted tattoos more quickly and efficiently than older lasers, in as little as three sessions.
