Lisamarie Wilson is the face behind the 4-year-old blog Beauty Crazed ( Over the years she has amassed an extensive collection of lotions and potions for her skin, hair, and nails. Just when you thought you spotted a buzz-worthy product at Sephora and proudly uploaded it to your Instagram, chances are likely that Wilson has already blogged about it, like, weeks ago. What you see above are her favorite daytime skincare products.

Roll call (L-R): 1. Purity cleanser. “This cult fave cleans without stripping, removes makeup and has a beautifully soft texture. I’ve also been using their new lactic acid cleanser, but it doesn’t remove makeup so it’s my morning cleanser.” 2. Clarins Gel Cleanser. “I use the this with my Clarisonic, the Purity is too runny to stay on the brush!” 3. NeoStrata Intense Eye Cream. “They call it a cream but it’s really light, I don’t like heavy eye creams because they make me puffy!” 4. Biotherm toner. “After cleansing day and night to get rid of any residue and because I like the extra step.” 5. SkinCeuticals sunscreen. “It’s so light it doesn’t feel like an extra layer so you don’t have to hate applying it!” 6. Vichy LiftActiv Serum 10. “During warmer weather I often just use a serum and sunscreen without any other moisturizer but with the weather the way it is these days, I add a cream to any dry areas.” 7. Fresh mattifying serum.“This is more of a summer thing when my nose and forehead become an oil slick!” 8. Rodial chin and neck cream. “Use this everyday, I fully subscribe to the theory that aging shows up first on your neck, chest and hands!”

I visited Wilson at her home in Markham to scope out her skincare stash…

To be honest, I was half expecting it to look like a bomb shelter with rows and rows of lipsticks, serums, and her favorite concealer – the topic of her hilarious post addressed to Revlon saying, “Do not discontinue my ColorStay Concealer again or I will cut you.” Wilson, who doesn’t have a real photo of herself up on her blog anywhere, was a complete mystery to me. All I had to go by was an image of two quirky girls wearing fuzzy go-go dancer boots and her slightly deranged personality (her words, not mine!). So imagine my surprise when I was greeted at the door by a soft-spoken woman donning a black Phantom of the Opera t-shirt, and her sweet cat Marmalade. “I’m not what you had imagined, right?!” She said jokingly. Not exactly, I replied…but I’ll take sane over crazy any day!

Here’s The Skiny on this seasoned beauty blogger.

Skin type? Combination.

Age? Old enough to know better, young enough not to care!

Your 3 can’t-live-without-skincare products? Sunscreen, sunscreen and did I mention sunscreen?

Every beauty blogger has a favorite BB cream, what’s yours? Stila’s Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm ($49 at Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques and Murale). It glides onto the skin and leaves a silky, powdery finish that helps reduce pore size and provides oil and blemish control, and an exclusive complex which helps reduce redness and skin irritation.

Do you have any specialty treatment products? Yes, my big skin concern is brightness, which as you know is what they say ages you even more the wrinkles! I wouldn’t use these all at the same time of course but one of them is always in rotation! The other product here is the Diane Lai Soothe which is my secret weapon for eczema, patches of dry or itchy skin – it instantly makes my skin feel better and clears the problem right up for me!

Favourite celebrity dermatologist? Dr. Will Kirby. I loved him on Big Brother and think he’s hilarious, they say laughter is the best medicine so he’d have me looking fabulous!

Most overused word? “Like” – there is a correct way to use this work and peppering your sentences with it is like so not like the proper like way, you know?

Your most recent What The Yuck?! skin moment? I woke up one day with a giant zit right above my belly button – I didn’t even know you could even get zits there! I looked like some sort of alien with 2 belly buttons!
