Turmeric is the star of this recipe which has gained a lot of popularity in the wellness world for great reasons! Traditionally, this spice has been used in Ayurvedic practices and medicine in Indian cultures. Turmeric is incredibly high in antioxidants, which we know help the skin glow and helps to prevent wrinkles. It helps our bodies to help inflammation, which is beneficial to people who suffer from acne. This healing spice has high antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which help to heal wounds, treat abrasions of the skin and even helps to fight stomach problems, colds and flush.screen-shot-2016-12-04-at-4-01-02-pmimg_2514-660

With it being colder outdoors, this warming recipe is amazing at any time of day. Personally I love it after dinner, because I feel like it really helps me digest my dinner and helps me wind down for bed time. I also notice my skin starts glowing as soon as I’m drinking it on the regular.

Serves  1

1/2 tsp. organic, ground turmeric

1 cup of coconut milk

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tbsp. MCT oil or Coconut Oil (good fats that help to burn fat and make the skin glow)

1 tbsp. maple syrup

pinch of cinnamon

pinch of ginger powder

optional: dash of organic cayenne pepper (I personally love the tiny hint of spice with the creamy goodness of this drink. Cayenne also boosts circulation which makes the skin appear brighter)

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a sauce pan and whisk consistently until blended and warm

2. Transfer liquid to blender and blend on high speed for 15-20 seconds to make it frothy and really incorporate the oil with the rest of the liquids

3. Enjoy!

We hope you enjoy this yummy warm drink with countless beauty properties!

Happy Sunday,

BB
